It was my first ME United experience and I was filled with so much anticipation even before it started. I wasn’t expecting that worshipping online along with brothers and sisters can bring me into the deep presence of the Lord. “No matter what state your heart is in right now, God loves you.” These were the words that really hit me through my veins. I felt how loved and blessed I was and overwhelmed with God’s grace and presence all throughout my life and in the lives of the people I love. I felt a sense of guilt in my heart especially when Jesus asked Peter this question, “Do you love me more than these?” I know God loves me unconditionally and I can give and do more to love Him but many times I chose to stay in my comfort zone. I was given plenty of opportunities to love Him, and yet most of the time like Peter, I denied God not only three times but many times of the love He fully deserves. At the end of ME United, I knew it was God who was talking to me in these words, “My child, you know that I love you and I showed you how much I love you unconditionally. But I also want to see how much you love me. I too want to be loved without condition, without limit, without boundaries… I long for that kind of love from you because you are special to me.” Truly, God teaches me to get out of my comfort zone to love Him more. I am blessed that I was connected with God… online! By Sis Kring Popatco, SFC Ras Laffan Mission Area, Qatar

The 8th SFC Qatar National Conference started with a beautiful celebration of the holy mass at 6am in the Main Church of the Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. Fittingly, the mass celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity featuring readings about the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in the Gospel that morning “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.” And indeed it was a good message to keep in our hearts as we all started to pour into the Seraphic Hall for the conference after mass, to prepare ourselves for the truths that our brothers and sisters would proclaim that day.Tito Toots Garduce, CFC Qatar Country Head, welcomed the 222 SFC delegates and 66 of their friends. Out of the 66, 29 are already part of the ongoing CLP in Doha. Also present were delegates from the mission areas in Ras Laffan/Al Khor, Dukhan and Messaieed.
